Simply put the 160 Lumen Cree Led Headlamp is the best headlamp that you can buy for under $10. The brightness of this little bad boy will amaze you. My friend and I all call it Super Headlamp due to how bright this headlamp is.
It is very light and uses 3 aaa batteries that are not included when you purchase the headlamp. It is very easy to use. There is a small silver button on top of the light that turns the light on. Hit the button again and you get a dimmer light followed by a strobe light and then finally turning the headlamp off. An easy to use strap adjusts the headlamp to fit your head.
You can adjust the width of your beam by simply moving the area where the bulb is located on the headlamp forward and backwards. This will narrow your beam down to a very bright square or out to a wide angle circle. The battery life is quite impressive for the brightness of this headlamp. Obviously, the brighter the light and the more you use it, the harder it will be on batteries. Due to the fact it uses aaa batteries, you can always bring extras if you are worried about running out during your trip. You should have no problem using just one set of batteries for a weekend camping trip.
